What We Believe

At this point in our walk with our Savior

(Since we are always searching and leaving room for the Spirit to reveal)

We believe …

(To read a more in-depth study on a subject, just click on the highlighted areas)

ABOUT MANKIND (in general … see also:  “Jews and Gentiles – who is Israel”):

We believe that all men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23 … “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”)

We believe that we are saved by grace, through faith, NOT by works of obedience. (Ephesians 2:8-9 … “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–  9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”)

We believe that God desires all men to be saved by accepting His Son (His Salvation) as their Lord and Savior (1 Timothy 2:3-4 … “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”), but He gives everyone the free will to accept or reject Him.

We believe that God has blinded some people to the truth, at this time.  So how can God desire all men to be saved, as the above passage says, and then blind some to the truth?:

  • He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn–and I would heal them.”  (John 12:40)
  • “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.”  (Romans 11:25)
  • “Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”  (Isaiah 6:10)

The above three passages show that there are certain people who are blinded to the truth.  It all has to do with being called to be a priest (noble purposes, great in the kingdom, also known as the elect and chosen ones).  The rest of the saved are common people (Both are selected by God’s choice alone!).  There is the FIRST resurrection (the Priests) and then the SECOND resurrection (the rest of the dead … at this time, ALL will hear clearly and either reject the truth or deny it).

ABOUT THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC, AND JACOB (The Father)

We believe that we cannot know the Son (His Salvation) without knowing the Father (YHVH):

  • “Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ), whom you have sent.” (John 17:3) We need to know BOTH.
  • “If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well…” (John 14:7). Yeshua (Jesus) is YHVH’s salvation and was evident throughout the “Old” Testament.  The converse is also true.  If we truly knew the Father, we would know the Son, as well.  This is why YHVH asked waaaaay back in Proverbs 30:4 … “What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!”

We believe that God does NOT change … NOR does He lie!  (This sounds like common sense and something that most Christians believe … BUT … many doctrines teach that Yeshua (Jesus) changed what His Father instituted, such as His Laws of how to live.)

  • “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.”  (Numbers 23:19)
  • “He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind.”  (1 Samuel 15:29)
  • “YHVH has sworn and will not change his mind”  (Psalm 110:4)
  • “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”  (James 1:17)
  • “Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  (Hebrews 13:8)

We believe that the common names of The Father and His Son that have been handed down over the years are incorrect and have grossly damaged the Creator’s purpose:

  • “The LORD” is not the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  LORD is a common title and is what most Bible translators have put in the place of God’s actual name as He gave it to us.  The actual name of God is YHVH (Yehovah) or YHWH (Yahweh) depending on the pronunciation used.
  • Jesus is not the name of the Son of God.  Yehoshua is the actual name given when He walked the earth.  Those in the “New” testament did not call the Son of God “Jesus”, but Yehoshua (or the shortened form, Yeshua).  The meaning of Yehoshua is “YHVH saves”.  The name “Jesus” means, well, there is no meaning.
  • Now that we know the names, we can answer the question that has stumped so many who have missed the Messiah:  “Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!” (Proverbs 30:4)

We believe that we should NOT simply throw this name around, though.  We are not to treat this name as common, thus taking it in vain.  We should, though, be using it within the context of HIS Scriptures where HE gave it to us.  AS His children, we have the right to call Him Father (Yet, it is important to identify our God when speaking to outsiders … since they have gods and lords, too)

  • The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all share the same name:
  • The Son came in the Father’s name:  “I have come in my Father’s name,”  (John 5:43)
  • The Holy Spirit came in Yeshua’s name:  “the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name” (John 14:26)
  • This is why we are to baptize in THAT name … NOT plural as in three persons, but in the name they ALL share:  “I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit” – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (Mathew 28:19)

We believe it is best to describe our Lord in the words given to us in the Bible.  One good example is the description of God as a “trinity” or “God head”.  Although the concept may have merit, we believe that God’s Words should speak on their own (“trinity” and “God head” are found nowhere in Scriptures as describing God … so why use words He never intended?).  For example:

  • We believe that Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) IS the Son of God the Father. (Matthew 26:63-64 … “But Yeshua (Jesus) remained silent. The high priest said to him, ‘I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.’  64 ‘Yes, it is as you say,’ Yeshua (Jesus) replied. ‘But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’”)
  • We believe that the Father sent His Son out of the same mercy and grace that is evident throughout the “Old” Testament … it was simply the right time for His Salvation to be revealed. (“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” – Romans 5:6 and Galatians 4:4-5 … “But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.”)
  • We believe that the Spirit is sent from the Father (The Spirit’s purpose will be addressed later).  (“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” – John 14:26)

We believe that the same grace and mercy we see evident today and in the “New” Testament … has always been there in the “Old” Testament.  (Yeshua (Jesus) is not new … He is YHVH’s Salvation spoken of in the past, having come in the flesh).  YHVH (the Father) has always been full of grace and mercy:  “you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,”  (Nehemiah 9:17)

ABOUT THE PROMISED MESSIAH (The Son)

We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) was born of a woman, yet was true God (a mystery that we will not be able to fully understand in this lifetime).  He was tempted in every way, yet did not sin.

  • “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet was without sin.”  (Hebrews 4:15)
  • “I and the Father are one.””  (John 10:30)

We believe that there is no one on earth that can point to the Savior and say, “You don’t know what I am going through.”  Yeshua (Jesus) was tortured, beaten, and He was mocked and spit upon.  His beard was plucked out and because of the crown of thorns, His head became disfigured.  He was also not a good looking man.  In fact, men thought that He was rejected by God.  Men rejected Him and He was homeless … our life should be no different than the One that we follow.

  • “He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.  3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”  (Isaiah 53:2-3)
  • “Yeshua (Jesus) replied, ‘Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.’”  (Matthew 8:20)
  • “Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him”  (Matthew 26:67)
  • “They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.  31 After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.”  (Matthew 27:30-31)
  • “I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.”  (Isaiah 50:6)

We believe that the ONLY way to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe is through Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ).  (John 14:6 … “Yeshua (Jesus) answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”)  Yeshua (Jesus) is represented by the ladder revealed to Jacob in his dream (Genesis 28:12 is the dream, and John 1:51 is the interpretation of it!).

We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) gave us the ultimate example of what the life of a believer should look like.  We must imitate Yeshua (Jesus) as His original disciples did.

  • “Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Yeshua (Jesus) did.”  (1 John 2:6)
  • “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.  22 He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”  (1 Peter 2:21-22)

ABOUT THE SPIRIT

We believe that it is the Holy Spirit of Yeshua (Jesus) that completes the work on the Cross by dwelling within and sanctifying the believer.  His Spirit teaches us how to obey the Laws of God.  His Spirit writes His Laws on our hearts so that we understand how to live the Holy life He commands of a believer (This is the Spirit of Truth).

  • Jeremiah 31:31-34 (31 and 33 shown):“31‘The time is coming,’ declares YHVH, ‘when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah … 33 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,’ declares YHVH. ‘I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.’”
  • Hebrews 8:8-11 and John 14:16-17 … “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever — 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
  • “Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.”  (1 John 3:24)

We believe that being “under the law” was a phrase referring to true believers prior to the earthly life of Yeshua (Jesus), and “under grace” was referring to those who became true believers after His death / resurrection.  BOTH denote true believers.  Mary, the Mother of Yeshua (Jesus) was referred to as being “under the Law” (Galatians 4:4).  Those who were “under the Law” at the time of our Master walking the earth were being told that they have a new tutor.  That they were being tutored (supervised) by the Law written on stone and were waiting for the Messiah by faithGalatians 3:25 … “Now that faith (Yeshua / Jesus) has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law (written on stone tablets).” Those “under the Law” were tutored by the Law on stone tablets.  Those under grace are tutored by the Spirit who writes the Laws on our hearts:

  • “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”  (2 Corinthians 3:3)
  • “For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.  14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)”  (Romans 2:13-15)
  • “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”  (John 16:13)
  • THIS is how our sins are being taken away.  When we obey, we are no longer sinning (sin is no longer our master).  Yeshua (Jesus) is doing it through His Spirit … thus, taking our sins away!  But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.”  (1 John 3:5) and “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”  (John 1:29)

ABOUT GOD’S ETERNAL and PERFECT LAWS

We believe that God’s Laws are perfect, righteous, and eternal.

  • “The law of YHVH is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of YHVH are trustworthy, making wise the simple.  8 The precepts of YHVH are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of YHVH are radiant, giving light to the eyes.”  (Psalm 19:7-8)
  • “All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”  (Psalm 119:160)

Just some of the various Laws are:

  • The New Moon is God’s way of keeping each month / year.
  • The prayer times are the keeping of the morning and evening sacrifices.
  • The sacrifices are still to be kept today (and were kept in the New Testament)
  • The diet of a believer is the same (God created us and knows what He created for food).
  • Explanations of various Laws (applied today)

We believe that the Sabbath and the appointed times given by God in Leviticus 23 are God’s personal appointments with His children.  The Sabbath is a sign between God and Israel (His children) – By honoring the Sabbath, we show which God we serve.  We believe that God’s plan of salvation including prophetic future events are pictured in the Feasts.

  • Regarding the Sabbath“Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am YHVH your God.””  (Ezekiel 20:20)
  • Yeshua (Jesus) was crucified on Passover and was buried during Unleavened Bread.
  • Yeshua (Jesus) rose from the dead on Firstfruits (wave-sheaf offering day) – starting the counting of 50 days (Omer) until Pentecost.
  • YHVH sent His Spirit on Pentecost (the Feast of Weeks)
  • The Feast of Trumpets is a picture of Yeshua’s (Jesus) return
  • The Day of Atonement is a picture of those who have denied themselves, taken up their cross, and followed the Messiah.  They will be the priests and will reign with Him 1,000 years)
  • The Feast of Tabernacles is a picture of the 1,000 year reign.
  • The Eighth Day Assembly is a picture of the great white throne of judgment of all those who were not called to be priests, yet are considered to be His children, as well as those who have denied Him.
  • “These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of YHVH, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.”  (Leviticus 23:2) They are not the “feasts of the Jew’s”, but YHVH’s, given to Israel (those who believe … whether a believing Jew or believing Gentile).

We believe that because of man’s sinful nature, he has changed God’s perfect word and refuses to obey many of His Laws.  (Romans 8:7-8 … “the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.”).  In short, they deny the Law and turn a deaf ear to it:  “If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable.”  (Proverbs 28:9)

We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) did not eliminate or abolish His Father’s Laws.  Matthew 5:17-18 … “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.  18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” … everything is not yet accomplished:

  • He has not returned.
  • We have not been judged.
  • Satan is not bound and cast into the lake of fire.
  • The earth and the heavens are still here
  • Until all these and more have happened, the Law remains according to the Son of God.  We believe it is man’s interpretations and misunderstandings of various passages that have allowed many to live lives of disobedience against YHVH’s Laws.

We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) did NOT institute “New Laws”.  Instead, He made the way for Gentiles to have totally equal citizenship within the community of Israel.  (Ephesians 2:12-13 … “remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.  13 But now in Christ Yeshua (Jesus) you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.”)   The hostile laws that He abolished in the passages that continue in Ephesians, were the “dogma” laws that the Jewish leaders instituted that were NOT of from God.  These laws of man created hostility and separation. (Ephesians 2:14-16 … “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.”).

We believe that Yehsua (Jesus) acted only in accordance with the Father.  He did not come to establish a new religion).

  • “Yeshua (Jesus) gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”  (John 5:19)

We believe that everything in the Old Testament has application to our lives today (In fact, as mentioned, the words “Old” and “New” Testament are never seen in the Bible … it is ALL One Word).  Some topics contained within the Law and Prophets are:

  • How to build the tabernacle / temple:  “They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.””  (Hebrews 8:5)
  • The Gospel (that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah).  He is the promised seed that would make Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob the fathers of many nations and would crush the serpent’s head:  “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.””  (Genesis 3:15)
  • (To Jacob)  … All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring,” (Genesis 28:14) … The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced THE GOSPEL in advance to Abraham: ‘All nations will be blessed through you.’”  (Galatians 3:8)“The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.”  (Galatians 3:16)
  • Descriptions of what the Messiah would do, look like, and what He would accomplish (We needed these so that we would recognize the true Messiah!).  THESE prophecies are what Yeshua (Jesus) fulfilled: “He said to them, ‘This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.’”  (Luke 24:44)“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”  (Matthew 5:17)
  • Examples of what pleases YHVH (The one true God):  “And find out what pleases YHVH”  (Ephesians 5:10)
  • Laws for God’s children to obey out of their love to God:  “Love YHVH your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.”  (Deuteronomy 11:1)“This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,”  (1 John 5:2-3)

ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that the original context must be realized when reading Scripture.  For instance, when the word “Scripture” is used in the New Testament, it is actually referring to the Old Testament (since what we know as the “New” Testament was not put together until around 250 years after Yeshua (Jesus) went to be with His Father).  The “New” Testament cannot oppose the “Old” (That is how the Bereans KNEW that Paul was speaking the truth:  “Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” – Acts 17:11 … the Scriptures they were examining were from the “Old” Testament)

  • “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”  (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • “As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Yeshua (Jesus) I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah, ” he said.”  (Acts 17:2-3)

ABOUT THE BELIEVING JEW AND GENTILE (ISRAEL):

We believe that the name of God’s children, even today, is “Israel”.  This is NOT a new Israel or a spiritual Israel, but the same comprised of those who claim the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as their Father.  Jacob received the name Israel because he overcame the world (“Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome.” – Genesis 32:28).  He was then told that he would be the father of many nations (who do the same:  overcome the world through the same faith as in the God Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and His Salvation.).  Even the physical descendants of Jacob (the Jews) are not part of Israel if they do not believe in Yeshua the Messiah.  Jacob did not have the title of being a “Jew” when He received the name Israel.

  • Remember, during the wilderness journey, God scattered most of the natural children throughout the desert floor because of “unbelief” (“Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert.”  -  1 Corinthians 10:5).
  • Remember, God gave His certificate of divorce to the unfaithful Israelites (NOT the faithful ones).  (“I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery.”  -  Jeremiah 3:8)
  • The Messiah has shown us that the Jew and Gentile believers are equal within Israel … the same Israel … the same Laws … the same Father:
  • “It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.” and 8 In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.”  (Romans 9:6 and 8)
  • “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel (the Jews) has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.”  (Romans 11:25) We believe, though, that there is no greater honor than to be a believing Hebrew / Jew!  They have both the physical and spiritual heritage.
  • “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.”  (John 10:16)
  • “His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace,”  (Ephesians 2:15)
  • “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Yashua (Jesus).  29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”  (Galatians 3:28-29)
  • And more …

We believe that God demands obedience from His children.  If we look at our example (The Jews, the descendants of Judah), we see clearly that, throughout Biblical history, they did not, as a whole, live in obedience to God as a nation.  We see that this upset God time and time again.  (“Yet the people of Israel rebelled against me in the desert. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws–although the man who obeys them will live by them–and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths.” – Ezekiel 20:13) We also see God calling them back to repentance, just as many times, and promising to forgive them.  (“‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares YHVH, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am merciful,’ declares YHVH, ‘I will not be angry forever.  13 Only acknowledge your guilt– you have rebelled against YHVH your God,” – Jeremiah 3:12-13We believe that the Gentile church, as a whole, has the SAME record of disobedience:  “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” – Matthew 7:23. These people were proclaiming Him Lord (Savior), yet He is calling them transgressors of the Law (the meaning of “evildoers” in Strong’s concordance.  There is nothing new under the sun.

We believe that the lives of the true children of God may be full of hardships, troubles, and yes, even a lack of money.  We also believe that the lives of true children of God will be full of discipline by a loving Father.

  • “For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.  4 They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.  5 They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills.”  (Psalm 73:3-5)
  • “This is what the wicked are like– always carefree, they increase in wealth.”  (Psalm 73:12)
  • “Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?  8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.”  (Hebrews 12:7-8)

ABOUT THE DEVIL

We believe that Satan is alive and actively deceiving many.  He uses miracles just as God does and he even looks like a lamb and calls himself Messiah (Christ)!

  • “Yeshua (Jesus) answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.  5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ, ‘ and will deceive many.” and 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.” and 24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect–if that were possible.  25 See, I have told you ahead of time.”  (Matthew 24:4-5 and 10-11 and 24-25)
  • “Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.”  (Revelation 13:11-12)

We believe that Satan uses the same things that He has ALWAYS has used … things of this world that our flesh desires:

  • 1 John 2:16 … “For everything in the world–the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the Father but from the world.”
